Life as I know it

By now, you've probably guessed that the title's to my posts don't always relate to what I'm rambling on about. This is going to be one of those posts, just so you know!

I'm currently getting ready for a show called 10/10 A Decade of Musicals which I'm doing sound (sort of) I'm meant to be doing mike changes back stage for the cast. But I did spend a large chunk of yesterday setting up the Yamaha LS9 so I do know what I'm doing! I'll probably have more updates about that this weekend/ next week, depending when I get around to doing another post.

My other blog which is about how techy stuff works is on hold for now because it's involving far more work than I expected so might do another post in the near future when I get around to it. 

I discovered the other day that I wouldn't know what to do without one of my closest friends, Becka. Also found out that she knows far too much about me! But we look out for each other and help each other out in situations. Don't know what brought me to do a post about her, but I think she deserves the acknowledgement! She's always been there to help me out. Admittedly I wouldn't know her if it wasn't for one of my ex girlfriends, but suppose it shows that some good things come out of bad relationships! 

Anyhow I think that's about it, don't think there's anything else for me to go on about so think I might leave you with this! I love this song from Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of War of the Worlds. I think this version flows a bit better than Forever Autumn from the New Generation.

Getting Ready.

So it's 01:34 and I'm bored so I thought I might do my first sort of 'official' post. I can't see it being a very long post as I have work at 12:30. I have a show coming up next week which is 'Hansel and Gretel'. This should be great fun to do, especially as I convinced one of my best mates to come and help as well. So it's going to a brilliant, long, stressful week, with great people - I couldn't think of anything better.  For this show I'm doing lighting, which involves lots of lugging lighting around, hanging them, standing up ladders whilst trying to point them in the right direction and then sitting behind a fairly old Strand lighting desk and my laptop (because I managed to convince them to let me run the magic lights using my laptop, hehehe). Dammit...

Well today I realised that I manage to confuse myself far too easily and far too often. I previously thought the show I'm doing was going to be this week, only to discover that it isn't... So of course I would check the dates and see which week of this month it was meant to be, but no I just assumed that it was next week, which is again wrong! The show I'm doing is 23rd to 26th Jan. This means that it is not this week, next week but the week after that.  It's annoying discovering that I was getting excited over something that was actually a bit of time away... and also doing it twice. Never thought I could be quite so stupid.  Well, just means I'll have to set everybody straight again about when the show is, and it will give me more time to relax and get 'ready'. :D N'night all

Time for another post, me thinks...

I'm going to start off with a congratulations to my sister for reaching her 1,000 blog views which is pretty impressive! If you want it have a look it's - http://iamnotadisease.blogspot.co.uk . It's well worth a read!  I was going to give an update after I finished my show of Hansel and Gretel, but I didn't get round to it. Also I have a problem of loosing interest in things fairly easily and as I didn't think my blog views were particularly good, I started loosing interest, but I suppose you have to actually put some work into it to try and get some views on a blog.  Anyway; I didn't really get any pictures whilst working backstage for the show, but I can give you a decent idea of what it was like. Everyone is in a good mood whilst backstage (especially after a drink during the interval). During various songs during the show, most of the crew are also doing the dance moves, which is hilarious to watch! Even though there is a seriousness about being back...
