Time for another post, me thinks...
I'm going to start off with a congratulations to my sister for reaching her 1,000 blog views which is pretty impressive! If you want it have a look it's - http://iamnotadisease.blogspot.co.uk. It's well worth a read!
I was going to give an update after I finished my show of Hansel and Gretel, but I didn't get round to it. Also I have a problem of loosing interest in things fairly easily and as I didn't think my blog views were particularly good, I started loosing interest, but I suppose you have to actually put some work into it to try and get some views on a blog.
Anyway; I didn't really get any pictures whilst working backstage for the show, but I can give you a decent idea of what it was like. Everyone is in a good mood whilst backstage (especially after a drink during the interval). During various songs during the show, most of the crew are also doing the dance moves, which is hilarious to watch! Even though there is a seriousness about being backstage because all the scenery etc has to be set properly onstage, you can still have fun with it. Another fun part is when you get to go up onto the gallery (a kind of platform that goes round the top of the stage area) and get to drop the glitter during the finale. It may not sound that good but it really is! and on the last night getting to empty the buckets of glitter over the actors after the final curtain call.
As I mentioned in my last post, or the one before that, I can't quite remember. I was also meant to help run the show from my laptop, but sadly I was unable to. Even through I could get control of all the magic lights and the dimmers, my laptop took too long to set up all the cues, but it was brilliant fun playing around with it! The magics we had rigged were - Martin Mac 250's, Martin Roboscan Pro 918's and Martin Robocolor Pro 400's. They're all great fun lights to use and play with!
Just had an idea... I might set up another blog where I'll explain about what I do, how technical stuff works etc, so if anyone is interested please leave a comment!
Cheers all!
